A mere six months into its operations and Jamwest Motorsports and Adventure Park Ltd copped the 2016 Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association award for attraction of the year, besting the likes of world-renowned ice cream purveyor Devon House, Dolphin Cove, and Island Routes.

Jamwest offers tours such as all-terrain vehicle, zip-line, safari, and horse back riding, in addition to accessory tours such as pool, water slide, mineral bath, bird aviary, and a petting zoo, all in one location.

Now a few months shy of the two-year mark, the Negril-based operation, a well-liked first-timer at Expo Jamaica 2018, is looking to extend its reach islandwide.

“We’re in Kingston at Expo promoting our corporate and group packages,” said Shyian Gordon, managing director of Jamwest Motorsports and Adventure Park Ltd, yesterday as young children and adults alike flocked to the Jamwest booth in scores for the final day of Expo Jamaica 2018.

Many could be seen nodding favourably as Gordon and her team waxed lyrical about the property located at Old Hope, Little London.

“We started off advertising in Negril. Then we slowly evolved into Lucea, and now, we are trying to break market in Montego Bay, where we’re looking to target the cruise ships next,” said Gordon. Jamwest is also home to Jamwest Speedway, the largest speedway in the region.

Jamwest Speedway is also the only place in the Caribbean where persons can drive a race car as an attraction.

“Our tour prices start at US$25, and you can do a combination of two tours or a ‘superdeal’, which is three tours. We also work out special rates, and we’re willing to negotiate to fit everyone’s budget. Additionally, we tie our products in with Rick’s CafÈ, which is voted in the 10 best bars in the world, and we give our guests free access to Rick’s Cafe in the package that they book with us,” Gordon said.

Noting that demands for overnight accommodation were increasing, the director further stated that the company is looking into constructing cabin-style units on its extensive 300-acre property.

“We have the best in customer service, and hospitality is what we do, so persons will not regret coming to Jamwest,” Gordon intimated.
