Mental Health concerns have become the norm on campuses around Jamaica as students deal with the typical demands of education. In response, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has launched a new training programme.
As part of ongoing efforts to bring wellness resources to youth, the Ministry of Health and Wellness is collaborating with Senator Dr Saphire Longmore to bring a team of mental health professionals into schools this week.
Minister of Health & Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton has commended PAHO on their Policy for Improving Mental Health. He also pledged the country’s support on this new initiative.
