Read Across Jamaica Day marked the launch of CAPTAIN I CAN!’s first children’s book, “The Adventures of Captain I Can!: The BIG Reveal.” Jessie Ripoll Primary School. The book was illustrated by 14-year-old Sarah Morgan as a first time project.
The parish of Kingston became the capital of Jamaica in 1872. This year, the city celebrates 150 years. Several activities are planned and will run concurrently with the Jamaica 60th activities.
Kingston Creative’s Paint the City initiative has received a boost. They will keep beautifying the city until at least August 2022. It’s an exciting time to wander around downtown Kingston and see how the murals improve the environment.
