The parish of Kingston became the capital of Jamaica in 1872. This year, the city celebrates 150 years. Several activities are planned and will run concurrently with the Jamaica 60th activities.

The Google Learning Management Systems is used by the Ministry of Education in Jamaica, to connect students with teachers, since COVID-19. Recently, Google donated 1100 Chromebooks to schools across St Thomas. Jamaica.
