The Leader of the Opposition, Mr Mark Golding, will visit Jamaicans in the United Kingdom from October 5 to October 8. Mr Golding will make every attempt to meet as many Jamaicans as possible throughout his visit, including stakeholder meetings, town hall meetings, and public cultural events.
Through an initiative by the Ministry of Education, eight high schools across the island are set to participate in the Furniture Making Programme. This initiative will serve to build entrepreneurial skills among high school students to augment their academic pursuits.

The Namibian delegation which is currently in Jamaica to celebrate the nation’s 60th anniversary of independence. The delegation, which is now representing the President of the Republic of Namibia, who was originally expected to be in Jamaica, is headed by the Honourable Christine Hoebes, Minister in the Presidency of Namibia.
The 67th Annual Denbigh Agricultural Show will be crowing winners from the Grow Smart Competition on Monday, August 1. A Youth in Agriculture Village will also be open with displays daily.
