The highly anticipated JCDC Competitions experienced a significant downturn in face-to-face competitions during 2020 and 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization is gearing up for the 2023 season of competitions and is encouraging Jamaicans of all ages to get ready for the staging.

Through its Care for Kids Scholarship programme, Sandals Foundation through the support of their parent company Sandals & Beaches Resorts have awarded US$60,000 in Scholarships. The scholarships have been awarded across the Caribbean to students who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in a variety of disciplines.
The longstanding partnership between the European Union and Jamaica was recently underscored with the largest Jamaican cohort to be awarded with the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships. These scholars will complete their programme of studies at universities throughout Europe.
