Some 120 innovative youths, through the Every Mikkle Global Youth Initiative Foundation, were selected from Jamaica, Trinidad, Kenya, United Kingdom, Ghana and the United States of America, to participate in the first instalment of Mikkle Master Class and Business Pitch Competition, for an opportunity to win up to US$1,200 in cash, internships and investment opportunities.

The Foundation has joined forces with renowned entrepreneur and workshop facilitator; Matthew Palmer, and will be hosted a virtual Mikkle Master Class: Youth Entrepreneurial Workshop on Saturday, October 10, 2020, concluding with a Business Pitch Competition on Sunday, October 17, 2020.

The Workshop will include a complimentary series of seminars, and talks provided with the intent to support the entrepreneurial spirit in these young adults, encourage global citizenry, and empower the participants to integrate corporate social responsibility in all their current and future business endeavours.

Dr. Rachel Brown

“Working with youth throughout the Diaspora, you find many similarities in their unique ability to provide quick solutions grounded in cultural nuances,” said Dr. Rachel Brown, Executive Director of the Every Mikkle Foundation “Applying that quick thinking to business and allowing this interchange of cultures with philanthropy at the heart is exactly what this business pitch Mikkle Master Class is all about.”

Mikkle Master Class begins with a deep dive into the ideation of running a good business, led by Matthew Palmer. From there, the aspiring entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to network with their peers as they work together to build a business pitch with global corporate social responsibility at the core.

The Business Pitch Competition will afford each team the opportunity to present to a panel of global entrepreneurs and business leaders including: Emprezz Golding (Jamaica), Del Titus Bauwah (UK), Lilipearl Baaba Otoo (Ghana), Kevin Valley (Trinidad), and Voltaire Xodus (US).

Operating in Jamaica since 2013, the Every Mikkle Foundation (formerly Every Mikkle Jamaica) is a non-profit organisation with the goal to help underprivileged youth to thrive, by providing educational opportunities and resources global awareness, and interactive events to improve their quality of life.
