Vera Hyatt

With over 35 years as a Museologists, Dr. Hyatt is one of the world's scholars on art and culture. Her career has seen her as the Deputy Director of the National Gallery of Jamaica and also the Director of the African Art Museum at the Smithsonian Institution. Dr. Hyatt has mounted many art exhibitions throughout her career but hands down, her two favorite were the mounting of the Caribbean Festival Arts in Washington, DC and the repurposing of the Elmina Castle in Ghana into an income generating museum. Now retired, Dr. Hyatt spends her time enjoying her family.
